Catching Up

Hello everyone!  I haven't posted lately had family stuff going on as most of you know.  Thank you so much for your thoughts, prayers, and cards for my stepdad John.  It is truly touching of the compassion that you have shown.  I can't begin to tell you how much it means to me and I know it is already lifting my stepdad's spirits and that is saying alot with the way things have been lately.  We are all praying for a miracle.  I want to say a special thank you to Ted.  I was so upset the day I posted about Operation Rainbow because I felt so helpless and Ted, your prayer helped to comfort me so much and I had my mom read it as well.  I worked on a few things this weekend that I have posted below.  Hope you enjoy!

I made this card for my stepdad John in hopes of lifting his spirits.  He is such a wonderful pain and I hate to see him in so much pain and sadness on his face.  I took some inspiration from a card Dawn had posted in the gallery.  I love these colors and love this set (PTI Star Prints).  Me and my stepdad have a joke between us.  I had put SD on a card a sent him a while back which I was meaning Stepdad, but he said he is not my stepdad and that he stood for Super Dad so that is what we have agreed to now and he has been such a Super Dad to me.

I made this card for my Sunday School teacher who is also a great friend to me.  She has been dealing with a kidney stone for the past week and I wanted to let her know I was thinking about her and sending her positive thoughts.  I love this new Mat Stack 3 Collection.  I have all three so far and wil continue to get the others as they come out.  I can see me using this quite often as you will see in my next card.

I made this for my sister to give a friend of hers that just had back surgery.  She loves my cards and I was hoping this would bring her some cheer to her day.  I love polka dots!!!

I made the above thank you cards as a set for my mom.  She has several thank you notes to send out and hasn't had the time to make any herself so I thought I would help her out.  These are pretty simple but I thought they turned out pretty cute.

I made two of these cards for my nephew and neice.  I saw this on Geny Cassidy's website and fell in love with it and just had to order to the stamp set right away.  It is from My Cute Stamps.  I thought it was precious so this is definitely a CASED card but I could do it any better than she did so I went with it.  My nephew is 4 and he loves to get cards in the mail from his "Aunt Elle".

Well that is all I have for now but it is the most I have posted in a while.  I am hoping this means I am getting my motivation back.  I know I am at least working on it.  I hope you all have a great week.  We are supposed to possibly get snow again this week which does not happen very often for us here in SC but we have had it twice in the last month which is quite a surprise.  This last time I didn't think it was ever going to go away.  It made it difficult for Jackson to get off the deck to go potty.  He loves the snow but he was even ready for it to be gone.  It is getting harder and harder for him as he is getting older and he almost has completely lost his sight due to his diabetes but as long as I am around he feels safe and knows his way around just by following me.  He is such a comfort to me and I love him so much.  We are best friends and I don't know what I will do without him.
