Wrapping up Christmas

Well it is hard to believe that Christmas is over.  I'm looking forward to a better year in 2011 as I am sure we all are.  I am posting a few of the Christmas cards I did as well as the favor boxes I made for some gift cards.  I will note the inspiration for the cards where I borrowed or CAS'd ideas from others.  Hope you enjoy looking as much as I enjoyed making.  I have to do some New Year's cards soon.  Hopefully I will get them posted in the next few days.  And last but not least I had to post some recent pictures of my "spoiled rotten baby" Jackson.

This is a picture of the favor boxes I did to hold the gift cards for my stepdad and my brother in law.  They are both avid hunters.  I used the deer from PTI Masculine Motifs and the holly berry from PTI Merry Little Christmas.  The cardstock is PTI Fine Linen.  I got tons of compliments on them.  I think they turned out pretty cute.

This is one of several Christmas cards that I sent out.  I used the tree die from PTI as well as the PTI Tree Trimming stamp set.  The sentiment is from WMS and the brads are from Basic Grey.

These two are pretty much the same with the exception of the Snowflake size, both snowflakes are from PTI Snowflake Serenade.  I am pretty sure I saw this card from a previous post on Nichole's blog.  I used the text background stamp and embossed with Filigree White and a sentiment from PTI Signature Christmas stamped in Versa Mark.  The cardstock used is PTI Ocean Tides.

I fell in love with this card when I saw it on Ashley Cannon Newell's blog.  She is awesome!  I made a few minor changes based on stamp sets that I had, but this was by far my favorite.  The snowflakes are from PTI Snowflake Serenade. The die cut is from Spellbinders cut out in PTI Hawaiin Shores felt and the ribbon is PTI Vintage Cream twill.  Oh, and the patterned paper is Bitty Dots by PTI of course.

Jackson with his Christmas bow.

Jackson smiling for his picture with his red bandana.  He is such a sweet boy!!!!!

Well that is all for now.  I had a lot of catching up to do.  I hope you all have had a wonderful holiday.  All was well here, we even had my first White Christmas.  All of it hasn't melted yet and Jackson keeps going out on the deck, laying down, and eating the snow.  Which leads me to post one last pic of Jackson in the snow.

Goodnight all,

Reindeer Christmas

Just wanted to post one more Christmas card before I call it a night.  I think this one turned out pretty classy.  I have big plans tomorrow to knock out the rest of my Christmas cards.  We shall see if it actually happens.  Enjoy!

Tis the Season

I'm excited as always about the PTI releases.  I thought I would try really hard not to buy anything for at least a month but I think that has already gone out the window.  I think the birthday sets and the Mat Stack 2 are a must haves, but I have a music note stamp from Hero Arts so I'm hoping to hold off and not buy the PTI one.  Here is a Christmas card where I used the music stamp along with the Holiday Big Bold Wishes from PTI.  I love how it turned out.

Lovin' The New Mat Stack 1 Set..........

I haven't spent a whole lot of time playing with this set yet but I am absolutely in love with it.  This is what I have done so far.  I definitely see this as being one of my favs and I can't wait to see what new Mat Stack sets PTI comes up with.

Get Well Soon

I made this card for my stepdad....I call him "SD", he likes to say it stands for SuperDad.  He recently found out he has lung cancer after a near death battle with pneumonia.  I usually make him a card once a week in hopes of brightening his day.

A New Little Someone

I made this card for a friend of mine that is having a little girl.  I was inspired by a card Kristina Werner made several years ago but remembered it when I went to make this card as I thought it was soooooo cute!

Blog Rookie

I'm new to the "I have a blog" world so bear with me.  This is my first post and I am going to have to learn as we go along this creative journey.  Suggestions, comments, humor, help, and feedback is always welcome.  In addition to cards, you will have to endure stories about Jackson, Ayden & Alexis and other random happenings as they occur.
